About Me

If you reached my website, welcome! I started modern bassoon at age 11 and Baroque bassoon at age 13. I am the youngest person in the North Americas to learn Baroque bassoon, and I was the only youth (under 18 years old) in the U.S. to play Baroque bassoon from 2019-2024.

I am a hard worker that has dedicate countless hours to learning both instruments, but I have a long way to go before I could call myself a professional. I have a deep passion for historical bassoons, and I love talking specially about Baroque style. I was accepted into the prestigious music conservatory Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland. I started my studies fall 2024 to work towards my B.A. degree in historical bassoon performance under the guidance of Carles Cristóbal (from Spain) and Letizia Viola (from Italy).

Besides nerding out on bassoon, I was raised on an island in Washington state. Being raised on an island is a huge part of my identity and culture. I enjoy the outdoors and have a deep love for the Salish Sea. My island culture helped shape me into the quirky person that I am and inspired my passion for music and the performing arts. I do have interests outside of music which includes historical dress creation and sewing, miniature modeling, photography, gaming, boating, cross-country skiing, and traveling.
