About Me

If you reached my website, welcome! I started modern bassoon at age 11 and Baroque bassoon at age 13. I am a hard worker that has dedicate countless hours to learning both instruments, but I have a long way to go before I could call myself a professional. I have a deep passion for both instruments, and as possibly the only youth Baroque bassoonist (under the age of 18) in the U.S., I love talking about Baroque style. I own both my instruments, and I play modern on a Fox 660 bassoon and Baroque on a Guntram Wolf Scherer II bassoon.

Besides nerding out on bassoon, I was raised on an island in Washington state. Being raised on an island is a huge part of my identity and culture. I enjoy the outdoors and have a deep love for the Salish Sea. My island culture helped shape me into the quirky person that I am and inspired my passion for music and the performing arts. I do have interests outside of music which includes miniature modeling, photography, gaming, boating, cross-country skiing, and traveling.
